Do you know What does Yoga and Ayurveda Say about Food ?
Ayurveda and Yoga both depend on Samkhya Philosophy.
- Purush means pure existence.
- Prakruti means the creative force of action.
- Mahad means the cosmic intelligence of Buddhi.
- Ahnkar means ego.
- Satva means stability.
- Rajas means dynamic movement.
- Tamas means Static or Ignorance.
These all come together with Five jyanendriya (senses), Five Karmendriya ( sense organs), Mind and Five Tanmatras Called Human Being.
While you eat you are feeding these all not only the body .
Ayurveda and Yoga both teach us that nutrition is much more than about what we eat.
We nourish ourselves by what we think, what we say, what we listen, What we see and the world where we live.
Ayurveda and Yoga advises us to cook and eat satvik (pure) food consciously.
Are you able to prepare the healthy and delicious food based on this philosophy which nourish your mind, body and soul ?
