Dr. Khushdil had the privilege to grow up in India with parents who are passionate about the Natural laws of Ayurveda medicine and the daily practice of traditional yoga. These laws and principles were passed on to Dr. Khushdil from a very young age where she grasped the understanding and the importance of keeping a healthy body, mind and spirit for general health. When Dr. Khushdil was in her teenage years, her mother fell very ill with debilitating back pain and leg inflammation. For the purpose of medical reports she was taken to a general practitioner who misdiagnosed her with kidney disease. The family was not satisfied with this outcome and from there she was taken to an Ayurvedic hospital where within a month she was on her way to recovery through the practices of Ayurvedic medicine. This sparked Dr. Khushdil’s interest even further and her thirst for more knowledge on the subject led her to study 6 years at university to get her Bachelor degree in Ayurveda medicine and surgery.
Through this she has also been able to rid herself of her own health issues which were constipation, IBS and Low in immunity level to regain control of her life.
For the last 20 years, Dr. Khushdil has been helping thousands of people overcome a range of physical, mental and emotional health issues.
She was inspired to write her book “Yogashraya” while she was still in India teaching Yoga at DEEMED University of Engineering and running her own practice at three different locations in Gujarat.
By 2007 Dr. Khushdil had a vision of spreading the word about Ayurvedic medicine to the rest of the world as an alternative medicine and relocated to Melbourne, Australia with her husband and son in 2011.
Initially she shared a practice with another Ayurvedic doctor to gain an understanding of the Australian culture and relate better with her new patients.
In 2014 Dr. Khushdil launched her own practice: Aum Yoga and Ayurveda Clinic
As part of her quest to enlighten the world in the ways of Ayurvedic medicine, Dr. Khushdil obtained a general certificate as trainer and assessor to teach a Diploma in Ayurveda Yoga Teaching.
Over the years Dr. Khushdil found her passion to be in cooking for healthy living and Yoga where she now runs regular workshops on Healthy Lifestyle management and Ayurvedic Cooking workshops.
Dr. Khushdil is a registered with the Australasian Association of Ayurveda as a professional practitioner and working as a state representative of Victoria in 2022-24.
